MEXC Referral Code: (MEXC-BESTOFFER)
Quick verdict
Enter MEXC-BESTOFFER in the referral field when signing up for a new MEXC account. With this referral code, you’ll get a 20% discount on your trading fees and access to MEXC’s special welcome rewards, with up to 10,000 USDT.
MEXC is a distinct class of exchange from Binance or Coinbase. It’s particularly built for active traders, as it charges 0% on spot maker orders. It’s also home to far more coins compared to most of its competitors, and frequently adds new tokens within days of launch.
Most of its welcome rewards constitutes futures bonuses, which take a different form from cash.
MEXC should be ideal if you’re looking for very low fees, early access to new and lesser known tokens, or you already have a vast understanding of futures trading.
Look elsewhere if you’re just a beginner looking to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum and hold it.
You may also want to consider a different exchange if strong local regulation is of importance to you, or if you live in the US, Canada, the UK or one of the other countries MEXC doesn’t serve.
A licensed exchange in your own country should best suit you.
What the “up to 10,000 USDT” really is
MEXC improved its new-user welcome package from 8,000 to 10,000 USDT in August 2025. This doesn’t translate to cash in your wallet. Most come in form of futures bonuses, in addition to fee vouchers and copy-trading bonuses. Before you put too much focus on the headline, it’s crucial to understand what each one does.
The three types of welcome reward
| Reward | What you can use it for | Can you withdraw it? |
| Futures bonus | Margin for USDT-M futures trades. It additionally covers trading fees, funding fees and losses | No. Profits you make with it can be withdrawn |
| Futures fee voucher | Paying futures trading fees only | No |
| Copy trade bonus | Following other traders’ futures positions through copy trading | No. Profits can be withdrawn |
In simple terms, a futures bonus is more like a chip that allows you to place futures trades without the subjecting yourself to the risk of using your own money. If the trade makes a profit, you’re free to withdraw it. If it loses, the loss is extracted from the bonus. The bonus itself can never leave your account as cash.
How you earn them: the welcome tasks
Rewards are typically activated as you continue completing tasks in the Rewards Center. MEXC classifies them into three:
- Deposit tasks. A user deposits a set amount and it remains in the account for a set number of days in a row. And only on-chain deposits and P2P purchases qualify, and internal transfers don’t. In case you withdraw and your balance drops below the target, you won’t have completed the task successfully.
- Futures trading tasks. A user hits a set futures trading volume target. Only trades that pay a fee are considered, and stablecoin pairs such as USDC/USDT are omitted.
- Copy trading tasks. A user hits a copy-trading volume target after following a trader.
Some tasks may need one to complete advanced KYC. After you finish a task, MEXC typically runs a risk review that can take up to seven days before you get the chance to claim the reward.
Where the large numbers come from
The biggest rewards come from the largest deposit and trading-volume tiers. For a user to hit these rewards, it means holding a large balance on MEXC for days and trading heavily in futures, often times with leverage. For most people, the practical welcome rewards are the early tiers of modest futures bonus and fee vouchers.
These come as an add-on, if you were going to trade futures anyway. If you weren’t, it isn’t essentially a reason to start.
Three rules that catch most users offguard
- Bonuses expire after 15 days. Any unused futures bonuses and vouchers are terminated automatically. In a scenario, that a bonus was supporting an open position, losing it could reduce your margin and push the position toward liquidation.
- Moving money out cancels the bonus. Moving assets out of your futures account before fully utilizing the bonus will relinquish all of the remaining bonus.
- The bonus pays losses first. Trading fees, funding fees and attained losses are extracted from the bonus before your own funds, so it depletes as you continue trading.
MEXC fees, and what the 20% discount adds
Low fees are MEXC’s competitive advantage. Here’s how its standard spot fees compare with other big exchanges, before any discounts are applied:
| Exchange | Spot maker | Spot taker |
| MEXC | 0% | 0.05% |
| OKX | 0.08% | 0.10% |
| Binance | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| Bybit | 0.10% | 0.10% |
| Bitget | 0.10% | 0.10% |
On USDT-M futures, MEXC charges 0% maker and 0.02% taker on BTC/USDT, and lists hundreds of futures pairs at 0% for both sides. Fees differ by pair and can change, so MEXC’s fee page lists the current active schedule.
Maker, taker and why MEXC’s 0% matters
A maker order adds liquidity: a limit order that waits on the order book until another user fulfills it. A taker order removes liquidity: a market order that fills instantly. On MEXC, limit orders that wait on the book are free on most spot pairs. Therefore, if you learn to utilize limit orders, you can trade spot on MEXC without ever paying trading fees at all.
What the 20% discount is worth
This special discount applies to the fees you actually pay. Since maker orders are free, it primarily reduces your taker fees, from 0.05% to 0.04% on spot.
| Monthly taker volume | Yearly spot fees, standard | With MEXC-BESTOFFER | You save per year |
| $1,000 | $6 | $4.80 | $1.20 |
| $10,000 | $60 | $48 | $12 |
| $50,000 | $300 | $240 | $60 |
| $200,000 | $1,200 | $960 | $240 |
Practical takeaway: MEXC is exceptionally cheap, so the discount saves less in dollars than the same discount would on a platform like Binance. It becomes crucial if you are one to trade actively with market orders, or if you trade futures on pairs that charge fees.
What the fee discount saves you

Trading volume counts every buy and sell. Estimates only; check the exchange’s current fee schedule.
How long the discount lasts
MEXC attaches your account to the referral code for the duration of the referral relationship. For standard MEXC referrals that relationship could go for 1,080 days approx. three years, from the point of registration. That comprises of the period when most people are most active on a new exchange.
Other ways to lower fees on MEXC
- Hold MX. A user holding at least 500 MX, MEXC’s own token, in their spot account for 24 hours in a row rewards them with a 50% discount on spot and futures fees.
- Pay fees with MX. Turning on MX fee deduction gives 20% off. However, this feature can’t be combined with the holding discount; MEXC typically applies whichever is larger.
- Use limit orders. On most spot pairs, maker orders cost users almost nothing.
However, you should note that, buying MX just to save on fees exposes you to the price of MX, which can fall. For small traders, using limit orders is the ideal way to save.
Note: any fees paid with a futures bonus or fee voucher won’t qualify toward referral rebates.
What MEXC does well
MEXC was launched back in 2018 and has grown to become one of the largest exchanges by trading volume, particularly in futures trading. These are some of the reasons traders go for it.
A very large coin list
MEXC is home to thousands of tokens, many more than Binance, Coinbase or Kraken. This list includes large established coins as well as small, early-stage projects that you won’t find on bigger exchanges. For traders, constantly on the lookout for smaller & less known tokens, MEXC is often the only major exchange that lists them.
Fast listings
MEXC is well-known for listing new tokens within days of launch, many times before any other large exchange. Traders who are constantly searching for new projects use it for exactly this. However, fast listing works in both directions: many new tokens fall drastically in price after launch, and some collapse completely.
Low fees
Zero maker fees on most spot pairs and hundreds of zero-fee futures pairs renders MEXC one of the affordable places to trade, specifically for users who trade often.
Futures and copy trading
MEXC provides a broad range of USDT-M futures with high maximum leverage, in addition to copy trading, which allows you to automatically follow seasoned traders’ positions. Both are popular, and both come with high risk. High maximum leverage is an attribute for professionals, but not for newbies.
Proof of reserves
MEXC releases monthly proof-of-reserves reports showcasing that it holds more of each major asset compared to its users’ combined balances. Its August 2026 report, audited by the security firm Hacken, indicated reserve ratios of 288% for BTC, 113% for ETH, 115% for USDT and 114% for USDC. A ratio above 100% translates to the exchange reports holding more than it owes users in that asset. One can usually check that their own balance is included in the report.
Optional KYC for basic use
MEXC allows you to open an account and trade with restricted withdrawals before verifying your identity. That’s comes in handy for small amounts, but most welcome rewards and higher withdrawal limits need verification.
The risks that come with MEXC
Every exchange carries its own risks, but MEXC’s are typically different from those of a regulated exchange like Coinbase or Kraken. One should be aware of them before depositing.
Limited regulation
MEXC isn’t licensed by any major financial regulator in most of the countries where traders make use of it. Realistically, this means:
- No MiCA licence in the EU. The Dutch regulator determined that in September 2025 that MEXC was providing services without the required license, and MEXC is listed in EU’s register of non-compliant firms. It’s wrapping up in the Netherlands, with final offboarding on November 16, 2026.
- Regulator warnings in several countries. Authorities in Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, India and South Korea have declared warnings and taken action against MEXC for running without local registration.
- Little protection if something goes wrong. Without an active local license, a user can’t report a complaint to a financial ombudsman or claim from an investor compensation scheme.
New-token risk
MEXC’s fast listings has its upsides and downsides. Many newly launched tokens squander most of their value in a matter of weeks, and some turn out to be scams or abandoned out rightly by their developers. A listing on MEXC is not an endorsement or a quality check. A user should approach small, new tokens as highly speculative, and only invest money they are comfortable losing.
Account freezes
Some MEXC users have reported large balances being frozen under the exchange’s risk-control rules, and for extra-long periods in some scenarios. In 2025, one trader went public about $3.1 million frozen in his account. MEXC declared that it only freezes assets for valid reasons, such as suspected market manipulation or wash trading, however users in these cases said they received little to no explanation at all.
The practical key takeaways:
- Finish full KYC early, so verification isn’t what delays a withdrawal.
- Don’t trade in techniques that could be perceived as bonus farming, such as multiple accounts or even trading with yourself.
- Don’t deposit more on MEXC than you’d require for active trading.
- Test with a small withdrawal instantly after your first deposit, so you understand how the process works.
Leverage
MEXC offers exceptionally high maximum leverage on futures. High leverage means a small price move against you can wipe out your position in seconds. And this risk is essentially the reason welcome bonuses are paid in futures.
Where MEXC is restricted (October 2026)
MEXC’s User Agreement details the jurisdictions it doesn’t accept users from. It also has wind-downs and regulatory actions in other countries. Check this list before proceeding to sign up. Making use of a VPN to get around a restriction breaches MEXC’s terms, and it’s one of the major reasons accounts gets frozen.
Prohibited: MEXC doesn’t accept users from these places
| Country or region | Notes |
| United States | Prohibited. US residents should use a platform licensed in their state |
| Canada | Prohibited across the whole country |
| United Kingdom | Prohibited. MEXC appears on the FCA’s warning list |
| Singapore | Prohibited |
| Hong Kong | Prohibited |
| Mainland China | Prohibited |
| Malaysia | Prohibited. MEXC has been on the Securities Commission’s Investor Alert List since 2022 |
| Kazakhstan | Prohibited |
| North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Sudan | Prohibited under international sanctions |
| Myanmar | Excluded as a country on the FATF call-for-action list |
| Crimea, Sevastopol, and the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of Ukraine | Prohibited. The rest of Ukraine isn’t on the list |
Leaving: winding down
| Country | Status |
| Netherlands | MEXC is leaving after the Dutch regulator found it was operating without a MiCA licence. Users are required to move their assets by October 31, 2026, with final off boarding on November 16, 2026 |
Not prohibited, but with regulator warnings or limits
| Country or region | What to know |
| European Union and EEA | MEXC doesn’t have an existing MiCA licence and is on the EU’s non-compliant register. It isn’t authorized to serve EU residents, and access may end any time. |
| Japan | It is not registered with the Financial Services Agency, and warning letters have been issue to MEXC. The app isn’t in Japanese app stores. |
| South Korea | The app was withdrawn from app stores in 2025 after action against unregistered overseas exchanges. |
| India | It was listed in Financial Intelligence Unit notices, and the main website is briefly unavailable in India. |

Who can use MEXC-BESTOFFER?
In case your country isn’t in any of the tables above, MEXC’s User Agreement doesn’t limit you. That includes much of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe outside the EU, and parts of Asia. If you’re listed in the third table, MEXC may still allow you to sign up, but local regulators have warned against it, and you won’t have any protection in case something goes wrong.
Whatever country you’re in, check what your own financial regulator says about MEXC before proceeding to deposit. Rules tend to change, and I update this list whenever I re-verify the offer.
Do you need KYC on MEXC?
A user can open a MEXC account and begin trading even without identity verification. Here’s how the verification levels compare.
| Level | What you need | 24-hour withdrawal limit | Welcome rewards |
| No KYC | Email or phone number | About 1,000 USDT in most regions | Not eligible for most tasks |
| Primary KYC | Government ID details | 80 BTC | Most tasks |
| Advanced KYC | ID document and face verification | 200 BTC | All tasks, including those that require Advanced KYC |
My advice is to complete verification from the onset, even if you consider yourself a small trader. You need it for the welcome rewards, and it prevents withdrawals from held up later on.
How to sign up with MEXC-BESTOFFER
This referral code has to be entered while you create your account. If you register without it, MEXC won’t create the referral link, and it can’t be added afterwards.
- Go to MEXC’s official site or app- Click on the button on this page or type the address yourself. Fake exchange sites and impersonator apps have been on the rise.
- Choose email or phone sign-up -and create a very strong password that you don’t use on other platforms.
- Enter the referral code. Click on the referral code field, often under a small “Referral code (optional)” link, and type MEXC-BESTOFFER. If you directly clicked on the button on this page, ensure that it’s already filled in.
- Confirm your email or phone with the verification code that MEXC will send you.
- Complete KYC- Navigate to the identity verification page and finish at least Primary KYC. Advanced KYC activates every welcome task.
- Turn on security features. Enable 2FA with an authenticator app, set an anti-phishing code, and proceed to turn on withdrawal address whitelisting.
- Open the Rewards Center. In here, you’ll find welcome tasks, their targets and their time limit. Ensure to read the conditions before you begin any task.
- Make your first deposit. On-chain deposit or P2P are the one that qualify, since internal transfers don’t count toward deposit tasks. Feel free to send a small test amount first and check the network matches.
- Claim rewards as they unlock. After the risk review, which could go up to seven days, claim each reward before expiry.
- Do a small test withdrawal. Withdraw a small amount to your own wallet, so you fully understand how the process works before you hold larger balances on MEXC.
Depositing on MEXC
- Crypto deposits are typically free, other than the network fee charged by the blockchain. Always pick the same network on both sides, and include a tag if the coin requires one.
- P2P allows users to buy USDT with local payment methods from other users. Ensure to only trade with verified merchants, and never mark a payment as sent before you’ve in fact sent it.
- Card and third-party purchases are available in many countries via payment partners, most times, at a higher cost of around 3–5%.
Using a futures bonus without losing your own money
Since most of MEXC’s welcome rewards are futures bonuses, it’s essential to understand futures before you use one. Here’s the short version, and how to use a bonus reasonably.
Futures in one paragraph
A futures contract allows a user to bet on whether a coin’s price will go up (a long) or down (a short) without owning the coin. Leverage escalates the size of your position. At 10x leverage, a 10 USDT margin controls a 100 USDT position, so a 1% price move changes your margin by 10%. But, if the price moves far enough against you, the position is liquidated automatically.
A Good example
For example, if you receive a 50 USDT futures bonus and open a BTC long using it as margin.
| Leverage | Position size | Price drop that liquidates you (roughly) |
| 2x | 100 USDT | About 50% |
| 10x | 500 USDT | About 10% |
| 50x | 2,500 USDT | About 2% |
Bitcoin can easily move 2% in a span of an hour. At 50x, the bonus can be gone before you’ve had an opportunity to look at your phone again. At 2x, it would be a massive crash. Those figures are just approximates, because fees and funding payments will also reduce your margin.
Five rules for using a bonus
- Use low leverage. 2x to 3x rewards you a bonus room to survive normal price swings.
- Use the bonus, not your deposit. In an instance that your futures account holds both USDT and a bonus, MEXC uses your own USDT as margin first. If you’re only looking to risk the bonus, keep your funds in the spot wallet and don’t move them into futures while you use it.
- Always set a stop-loss. Make a decision in advance of how much you’re willing to lose, and allow the stop-loss enforce it.
- Mind the 15-day expiry. In case a bonus expires while it’s supporting an open position, your margin drops and liquidation gets closer. Close or top up positions before the bonus expires.
- Don’t move funds mid-bonus. Moving funds out of your futures account before the bonus is fully utilized cancels out the whole remaining bonus.
Should you trade futures at all?
Most traders who take on leveraged futures lose money over time. A bonus is just a low-cost technique to learn how futures work, as it lets you make mistakes with MEXC’s money rather than your own. That’s its essential value. The risk is that a winning trade with free money pushes you to deposit more and continue trading with real money. If you notice that this is what is happening, stop and take a step back.
If you prefer to avoid futures entirely, you can still use MEXC-BESTOFFER for the fee discount on spot trading and ignore any futures tasks.
MEXC vs Binance: which should you use?
They’re the two exchanges traders love to compare most often, and they are ideal for different users.
| MEXC | Binance | |
| Spot fees (standard) | 0% maker, 0.05% taker | 0.1% maker, 0.1% taker |
| No. of coins | Thousands, including many small and new tokens | Fewer, more selective listings |
| New token listings | Very fast, often within days | Slower, with more vetting |
| Welcome rewards | Mostly futures bonuses | Mostly trading fee rebate vouchers |
| KYC to trade | Optional for basic use, with withdrawal limits | Required |
| Licensing | No major licences; regulator warnings in several countries | Licences in some countries; also not MiCA-licensed |
| Not available in | US, Canada, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and others | US, Canada, UK, EU/EEA, China and others |
| Best for | Active traders, futures traders, early-token hunters | Mainstream traders looking for deep liquidity and a wide product range |
Choose MEXC if fees are of utmost importance to you, and if you want access to small and new tokens, or you trade futures on the regular.
Choose Binance if looking for a large and well-established exchange with deep liquidity on major coins and a wider range of products, and it’s available where you live.
Many traders maintain accounts on both: Binance for major coins and MEXC for smaller tokens and affordable fees. See my Binance referral code page for that offer.
If MEXC isn’t available where you live
Work with an exchange that is licensed in your country. In the EU, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp, Bitpanda, OKX, Bybit and Crypto.com hold MiCA licences. In the US, look for platforms licensed in your state.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the MEXC referral code? MEXC-BESTOFFER. Make use of it when creating a new MEXC account to get a 20% trading fee discount and access to the new-user welcome rewards that are worth up to 10,000 USDT.
- Can I add the referral code after signing up? No. MEXC only builds up the referral relationship when the code is entered during registration. In case you sign up without it, it can’t be added later.
- Is the 10,000 USDT bonus real money? Not directly. Most of it comes in form of futures bonuses, fee vouchers and copy-trading bonuses. You can trade with them and withdraw the profits you make, but the bonuses themselves can’t be withdrawn and will typically expire after 15 days.
- How much will I realistically get? This will depend on how much you deposit and how much you trade in futures. The early tasks, like verifying your identity and making a qualifying deposit, are quite simple to complete. The biggest rewards require big deposits held for several days and high futures trading volume. Most new users only get the early-tier rewards.
- How long does the 20% fee discount last? For the precise duration of the referral relationship. For standard MEXC referrals, that ‘usually 1,080 days, which is about three years, from the day of registration.
- Can I use MEXC without KYC? Yes, but for minimal trading with withdrawals of about 1,000 USDT per day in most regions. Most welcome rewards however require at least Primary KYC, and some need Advanced KYC.
- Why hasn’t my reward appeared? MEXC reviews finished tasks for up to seven days before one can claim the reward. Also check that you’ve met the deposit holding period, that your deposit came on-chain or via P2P as opposed to an internal transfer, and that your trades paid a fee and weren’t on any stablecoin pairs.
- Is MEXC safe? MEXC ensures to publish monthly proof-of-reserves reports indicating more than 100% reserves for major assets. But it isn’t licensed by major regulators, there are some users that have reported account freezes, and it hosts plenty of high-risk new tokens. Use strong security, complete KYC, and be sure to not keep more on MEXC than you need for trading.
- Is MEXC available in the US, UK or Canada? No. All three are on MEXC’s prohibited list.
- Can I use MEXC in the EU? MEXC doesn’t list EU countries aside from the Netherlands as prohibited, but it has no MiCA licence and is on the EU’s register of non-compliant firms. It’s departing from the Netherlands, and access elsewhere in the EU may end any time. A MiCA-licensed exchange is the safer choice for most EU residents.
- Can I open more than one MEXC account? No, not to claim more rewards. Signing up for multiple accounts in order to collect bonuses is classified as abuse, and it can disqualify you and result in frozen accounts.
- Does MEXC-BESTOFFER work on the MEXC app? Yes. The referral code field is available in the app’s registration screen as well as on the website.
- Are MEXC rewards taxable? In many countries, crypto rewards and trading profits are included as taxable income or gains. Rules tend to differ between countries, so keep records of your trades and rewards and check with a tax adviser where you reside.
A note on risk
Crypto prices often fall drastically, and you can lose some or all of the money invested. Futures and other leveraged products can lose your entire deposit fast, and most people who trade them lose money. Welcome bonuses are just marketing incentives. They are not meant to make trading safer. Only deposit what you’re comfortable losing, never trade more than you intend just to hit a reward, and approach small new tokens as highly speculative.
